First launched online in 2012, Toranja has now set up shop in the Mercado da Ribeira with what for it – as for Time Out itself – is its first physical outlet. The idea remains the same, though: marketing original items designed in Portugal. Photographs, cushions, bags, pictures, posters and various other kinds of articles – useful or just fun – but all of them Portuguese. It is all overseen by a team of designers (Portuguese, of course) who resolved to join forces with dozens of artists in a project that aims to disseminate Portuguese creations to the greatest number of people possible. Most of the items are exclusive and many can even be customised for clients. To take a look, just go to www… no, it really is at the Mercado da Ribeira.
