A man, a guitar. The new album by Scott Matthews, The Great Untold, is the sixth by the singer-songwriter and Ivor Novello award winner.
Scott Matthews listened from a very young age to great artists such as Marc Bolan, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. When he bought his first guitar, at the age of 7, it didn’t take him long to realise that music was his true vocation. His diverse musical tastes later prompted him to experiment with funk, soul and indie rock, with various local bands, until he finally decided on a solo career with an eclectic mix of styles. His first single, “Elusive”, was released in September 2006 and since then he has performed with leading artists such as Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Rufus Wainwright, Tori Amos and Robert Plant.
At the Time Out Studio he’ll be presenting his latest album on 30 January.
The support act is Cristovám, a singer-songwriter from the Azores with an indie-folk flavour.
