Meia-Nau
At a time when people grilled fish on every street corner in Matosinhos, brothers Nuno and Pedro Garcez, together with their brother-in-law Ivo Ferreira, sought to modernise the offer with a more up-to-date space, better presented dishes and professional, friendly service, but still with the traditional quality and mastery of working with fish and seafood. That’s how the first Meia-Nau opened in 2018, in an old garage in Matosinhos. This was followed by another in Porto in 2021 and now at the Time Out Market, where they bring some of their most famous snacks such as sautéed squid and clams à Bulhão Pato (with coriander and garlic) but also fish soup and dishes such as seafood rice or grilled fish. The classic leite creme queimado (creme caramel) also makes an appearance.
