What happens when a slick media company endeavours to bring together the best of the city under one roof? You get Time Out Market, a dining and culture experience curated and vetted by our editors.

It’s a concept our Time Out Portugal team created in 2014, then launched inside the city’s historic Market, Mercado da Ribeira. With eight bars, a dozen shops, a high-end music venue and 24 restaurants—from the best burger spot and the top steak joint to the tastiest sushi sensation—Lisbon’s finest eateries are all represented. This unique mix of traditional and trendy is something you’ll find only at Time Out Market Lisbon.

And it didn’t stop there: The food hall concept has grown to include Markets in Boston, New York, Chicago, Montréal, our very own Dubai and now, Cape Town. Spread across 43,000 square feet in Downtown’s Souk Al Bahar, the curated dining destination encompasses 17 food concepts, three bars, a sweeping outdoor terrace and so much more into one space that embodies the best food, drink and culture that Dubai has to offer.

As in its predecessors, the Dubai outpost follows a simple rule when it comes to curation: If it’s great, it goes in the magazine; if it’s unmissable, it goes in the Market. What you’ll find inside is a hand-picked array of everything you could want to eat, drink and see all under one roof.

Located in the heart of Downtown Dubai in the Souk Al Bahar retail, entertainment and dining hub, Time Out Market Dubai is a 43,000 sq ft foodie destination offering 17 kitchens, three bars, a spacious outdoor terrace and is a hotspot for food and culture lovers.
