Viva o Samba is back

Attention all sambistas: the Viva ao Samba party is back at the Time Out Studio in April, with a permanent residency on Sundays. The Viva o Samba project was founded in 2015 by Brazilian musicians, Cícero and Humberto Matheus, with the aim of promoting Brazilian musical culture in Portuguese territory and of bringing together family, friends and the public around an authentic roda de samba — where everyone dances and sings together. Since 2015, the group has organised various events around the city, bringing together locals, Brazilians and many tourists in this true celebration of Brazilian music, already involving more than 60,000 people. Since they started, they have been a regular presence at the Time Out Market, and from now on that will be even more true. Every month, on Sundays (with a few exceptions), the Roda de Samba will take up residence in the Time Out Studio, always with special guests who come to celebrate the democratic and contagious joy of samba. On 24 April there will be a special event dedicated to freedom. More news soon. Next dates: 14, 21 e 24 April, 7.00pm to 03.00am. Tickets here
